Uninterested Male?

I recently purchased a male rex rabbit to breed with my female New Zealand.

The first time I introduced the female into the male's cage, he was all over her. Same thing eight hours later.

Now it's been 3 weeks and have checked the female but am confident she is not pregnant.

Now when I put them together he shows no interest in her at all. They don't fight and seem almost bonded. He is not overweight and both are in good health. They both eat as much hay as they want and about 1/3 cup of pellets a day. I leave the light on for more exposure most of the time.

Any ideas why he may have lost interest?

Thanks in advance ☺

By the way, I live in Ontario!
